Phyllis has returned to her paint brushes after an active life as an Army Wife, raising a family and working in a medical office. A visible trait in her works includes love of vibrant colors and a creative freedom in using unique media, techniques and styles. Her love of beauty began in Minnesota, flourished in Georgia and Wisconsin, Washington DC and has traveled worldwide. She currently studies with North Carolina artists in the use of acrylics and oil in still life and landscapes.

Phyllis was recently the President of the Pasquotank - Camden Friends of the Library, participates in Library Foundation Board, volunteers as a member of Arts of the Albemarle, Chowan Arts Council and the Encore Theatre Company.
