Katherine's works shown here are created totally in fiber medium.

She received her Liberal Arts degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. Working for a major pattern company in New York City, she gave fashion education programs in high schools and colleges across the country. After coming to the College of the Albemarle to teach, she married and continues to reside in the Albemarle, NC.

In 2003 and 2005, Katherine was selected as Grand National winner in the American Sewing Guild's creative contest. Locally, among other awards, she won "Best in Show" at the Dare county 30th annual Frank Stick Memorial Art show in 2008.
